Bojana Vunturisević is a Serbian pop singer, songwriter and hitmaker, born in 1985 in a small Serbian town, Kostolac. When she moved to Belgrade to study music pedagogy at the Faculty of musical arts, she started her music career as a member of many underground bands.
She rose to prominence as the lead singer of the indie-pop band Svi na pod!. After releasing two studio albums with the band, Vunturišević decided to pursue a solo career in 2015. Her debut album, Daljine (Distances), was released in 2017 and attracted critical and commercial acclaim for the lead single Kese, etikete (Bags, Labels). In June 2019, she released the single Promašaj (Failure) before taking a hiatus from recording new music. With Money produced by Coby in May 2021, Vunturišević made her comeback. She finished 2022 with the release of the music video Ljubav (Love), which caught the attention of the region, confirming Bojana’s place as a pioneer in creating unique visual identities and leading the way for a new music genre. Money, Ljubav and also Madrina (released in 2022) served as an introduction for her new album Ljubav (released by Bassivity on 11 February).
Bojana invested all her love and energy into creating an album for her soul. Since my first album (Daljine) I gave birth and I witnessed death. That beginning and that end are the main characters of my album Ljubav, into which I spilled my soul. – says Bojana Vunturisević.Vunturišević describes her style as "capitalist blues" and draws from indie pop, trip hop and dancehall influences. She is a popular performer at the most known regional festivals and concerts. Throughout her career she has written songs for other regional artists such as Nataša Bekvalac, Sara Jo, Franka, and Senidah.
